    THB supports “London Makes It Possible” an initiative from the London Market Group designed to bring to life many of the economic and social activities that the London Market makes possible across the globe.

  • 2016

    Lorraine Adlam, our first non executive Chairwoman, is appointed - bringing more than 35 years' broking and underwriting experience to our Board.

  • 2015

    Cardinus, our London-based risk management operation, granted the highest standard 'Gold' certification from BAFE SP205, a UKAS accredited scheme for Life Safety Fire Risk Assessments, following the Investor in Customers ‘Exceptional’ 3 star rating awarded to Cardinus earlier in the year.

  • 2014

    THB Community Policy established to formally recognise corporate and colleague fundraising. Initiatives include THB’s membership of the Lloyd’s Community Programme, and support for colleagues’ personal causes through fund-matching and the annual THB Community Awards.

  • 2013

    First annual visit of Appalachian State University International Insurance Markets class students to THB’s London office for insights into how the London Market works.

  • 2012

    THB joins forces with AmWINS.

  • 2010

    Colemont joins forces with AmWINS.

  • 2009

    Frank Murphy takes over as THB CEO from retiring company founder Vic Thompson.

  • 2008

    THB acquires the London and international broking operations of PWS.

  • 2003

    THB awarded LSE AIM 'Newcomer of the Year'.

  • 2002

    THB floated on the London Stock Exchange.

  • 1977

    THB admitted to Lloyd's.

    THB established.
